Practising her craft since 1977, Prue Venables is one of Australia’s most accomplished ceramicists with a demonstrated mastery of porcelain. Over forty years, her work has evolved from traditional and functional objects to sculptural entities that mimic the useful and everyday. Recognised with a surfeit of national and international awards including ADC 9th Living Treasure, Master of Australian Craft. Her work has been shown at galleries including the NGV, the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, Japan, Nancy Margolis NY, and Galerie Besson, London. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, London.
